The third Real Ale Classroom is located in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter on the east side of the City Centre. Come down and enjoy some great beer, warm atmosphere and live music!
Setting Up…
The Rutland Street bar is the latest addition to The Real Ale Classroom, opening its doors in late November 2023. Being the not-so-little sister to our micropubs in Stoneygate and Lutterworth, the Classroom Leicester has more space, more live events and - most importantly - more beer!
Most of our live events take place in the Common Room - our venue downstairs. It’s free to hire and even has its own bar. So far we’ve hosted gigs, whiskey clubs, swing dance socials, you name it! We’re also proud to say that we were awarded Best New Venue at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2024.

CLASSROOM RULES
Don’t expect a loud and brash venue, we’re not about that.
We’re just about decent people, great ale, and conversation between friends.
Kids with well-behaved adults are welcome until 7 pm (we do ask that your children are kept with you and don't run around the pub, for their safety as much as our own and other customers). Dogs likewise... without the curfew! Cheers!
